The below is an interview with Peter Edwards.
How would most of the couples you’ve worked with describe your wedding day
personality?
One of the most satisfying aspects of being part of a couple’s wedding is being able to make them happy — we deliver what they’re looking for in a relaxed, fun manner.
Here’s what some of our clients have had to say about us:
- “When it came to the day, Peter and Tegwyn were a dream to be with. Everything was so easy and fun!”
- “Peter and Tegwyn were incredibly professional, but also friendly and approachable. They helped to make our day all the more special.”
- “Professional, personal, heart-warming. Peter and Tegwyn made us feel so relaxed, and they cherished the day just as we did.”
What’s the number one thing you always do or recommend when couples are
nervous in front of the camera?
Having a pre-wedding photoshoot is a great way for our clients to get a taste of what it’s like having professional photos taken. You can literally see the anxiety fall away! Once they see the images and love what they see, they have complete confidence in us capturing them on their wedding day.
Do you usually meet with couples prior to their wedding day?
We like to meet up with our couples for a pre-wedding photoshoot and chat about what’s important to them on their wedding day. It’s also an opportunity for us to prompt them to think about options they may not have considered. This generally takes about an hour and is time well spent to ensure that the day runs like a charm.
What types of wedding photo albums do you offer?
We use a New Zealand album manufacturer who produces a selection of quality, custom-made wedding albums.
Do you shoot film or digital?
We’ve used both over the years of photographing weddings. At the moment, we’re
shooting digital. I process all images through photoshop to perfect them.
Do you usually work alone or with a second shooter and/or photography
assistant?
My partner Tegwyn and I have worked together throughout our photography career.
Our clients will always have both of us photographing their wedding day.
Can you share a couple of your favourite local photography locations?
If you’re looking for a city feel to your photoshoot, the streets and buildings of Perth
and Fremantle offer great backdrops. The options range from historic buildings to the
ultra-modern as well as quirky alleyways.
One of my personal favourites is shooting along the coast at sunset — I just love the
golden light at this time of the day.
The Swan Valley is not far from Perth’s CBD and has some magic spots. And, of course, I don’t think there’s a photographer that will give up an opportunity to shoot images around the Margaret River wine region. The best of everything: vineyards, forests, rugged coastline, pristine beaches. We’re spoilt for choice as WA photographers.

How many hours should we book your wedding photography services?
How long you choose to have us with you is dependent on what you want to be captured on your wedding day. The majority of our clients like to have us around for 6-8
hours. Depending on locations, this would generally capture all the getting ready
excitement at home through to the start of the reception.
Some clients like us to spend a few additional hours at the reception to capture the hilarity and sentiment of the speeches and the bridal dance, or longer if they want us to capture all the emotion of the goodbyes.
If our clients only require us to capture the ceremony, a few family and bridal party
shots, and entry to the reception, a 4-hour coverage may be adequate.
